Bestamor's gift from Norway!

Back when I went to visit my family in Washington, all my aunts, mom and Farmor (grandma) threw a surprise baby shower for me and Lily! It was so much fun! This outfit is what Lily's Bestamor (great grandma) got her all the way from Norway! So I decided to have a photo shoot :)

New things to try!!!

So much has happened this week its been great!! Lily had her 4 month checkup and besides a few tears after the shots, Lily is a very happy and healthy 4 month old! Our pediatrician gave us the go ahead to try baby foods!!! I was so excited I went to the store right after to get some! Here is how it went...

We are pretty sure she will like a lot of foods her Mom and Dad like..... She likes the cheetos bag, which I absolutely love (the cheetos not the bag ha ha) and the other night she wanted Brad's Vanilla coke bottle so bad!! It was really cute, but dont worry we did not give her any, even though i think Brad secretly wanted too!

Another big thing that happend this week is one of Brad's best friends got married!!! It was a beautiful sealing at the Manti Utah temple, where Brad and I were married as well!! We have so much fun and even though it was a long day it was a great experience. Here is Lily with Grandma at the reception! (And yes I know my daughter's hair is wild, she gets a bad case of car seat hair :)

Such a busy but fun week! Brad is getting closer to getting done with school, Lily grows SOOO much everyday (and I swear she gets cuter somehow), I love being a wife and mom.... Things are really good :)

A change in lifestyle

I am a fan of watching the biggest loser, along with some other shows, but for some reason this season has gotten to me more than the past ones. One thing they always say is that losing weight isn't just about diet and exercising, its a "lifestyle change." I've heard it, but I've never listened to it before. Since giving birth, I have definitely gained a little bit of weight... But i always had excuses... "im pregnat"... "oh i just had a baby".... "oh i just deserve to treat myself"... but now im out of excuses ha ha. SOOO Brad and i have decided its not that we are eating too much sugary treats, we just eat too much. So instead of going back for second helpings i ask myself "Am i really still hungry or does it taste so darn good that I want more?" A lot of the time, its just that i want more. So now I only eat smaller helpings and stop when im not hungary, NOT when Im so full I dont want to move. Simply by doing that and adding more veggies to my diet, Brad said I already look a little smaller around my waist! :) and it has only been 2 weeks! So Im not calling it a diet cuz its not... Its my new lifestyle!

Bedtime

I think bedtime is one of my favorite times with Lily! After her bath she just smells so good and its so relaxing in our home :) Yesterday Brad was able to get her ready for bead since he didnt have school... I heard brad talking and so I went into her bedroom to get a peak and this is what I saw:

 So cute!! She was staring so intently at all the pictures! And in case you were wondering, Brad was reading Dumbo to her... I loved that movie when i was little :) Lily's Marmor (grandma) got her a TON of cute Disney books for Christmas! After her story though she did get upset and started crying ha ha. But after I put her to bed she slept 8 straight hours!!! Then after i fed her, she slept 3 1/2 more! Now if only I had gone to bed earlier I wouldn't still be so sleepy :) What can I say I love it when Brad is home so we stay up late!

Giggles

So I had this scarf that I really liked the color of..... but it did not look good on... so i improvised and made a cute little outfit for Lily!!

While I was trying to put it on, she started giggling, apparently she thought it was funny :)

If your happy and you know it sit on your bum!

Lily and I have been practicing on how to sit up... and she usually just slumps over... but today she sat up for at least 10 seconds all by herself!!! Here are some pictures:

She is growing up so fast!!! I tried to record it but of course she didn't stay up as long... Learning to sit is hard work! She must have been worn out :)
